Dr. Justin D. Arnold is a board-certified dermatologist with a special interest in Mohs micrographic surgery and clinical research. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, San Diego, where he also conducted biomedical research at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. His dedication to patient care led him to pursue a Master of Medical Science degree at the Yale University School of Medicine. Following this, Dr. Arnold spent four years as a primary care physician assistant at a federally qualified health center in Washington, D.C.
He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society for graduating among the top of his class. Dr. Arnold then returned to California to complete his internship at the Riverside Community Hospital Transitional Year Program, followed by a three-year dermatology residency at the University of California, Irvine. During his residency, he served as a sub-investigator on numerous clinical trials evaluating novel therapies for alopecia areata and atopic dermatitis. His research contributions earned him the prestigious Everett C. Fox Memorial Award for Resident Research from the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Arnold has published extensively in esteemed journals, including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, JAMA Dermatology, JAMA Surgery, and Pediatric Dermatology. He is committed to expanding access to high-quality dermatologic care in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties.
